Now, having warned you against collecting and saving your assorted usernames and passwords in a text or spreadsheet file, I will add a caveat to that - you can do it reasonably safely if you use an encryption program such as TrueCrypt to encrypt your precious information and make it harder for prying eyes to acquire.
